Josh Howell, MAOL, CT(IAC), SCT(ASCP)CM
Josh is a graduate from the Indiana University School of Medicine Cytotechnology Program where he now works as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and as the Education Coordinator for the Cytotechnology Program. Josh worked for five years in San Diego, CA as a cytotechnologist for LabCorp and another five years in Rochester, MN for Mayo Clinic before returning to Indianapolis in 2019. He earned his Specialist in Cytotechnology certification in 2019, his master’s degree in organizational leadership from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2021, and his International Academy of Cytology (IAC) certification in 2024.
Josh has previously served on numerous committees amongst the industry including the Cytology Program Review Committee (CPRC) as the Commissioner to CAAHEP representing the ASCT, the Vice Chair of the C.E.L.L. subcommittee to CPRC, a Regional Director and the Chair of the Education Committee for ASCT, and an Executive Board Member of the Cytology Society of Indiana. Additionally, Josh has served as a consultant for ASCT Services since 2020, and he is a regular attendee as both the ASC Annual Meeting and the ASCT Annual Meeting.
