Advocating for the Reinstatement of CMS Cytology Testing in Laboratories under the Clinical Laboratories Improvement Amendments (CLIA) for Patient Health and Safety
Having received the formal notice on March 25, 2025 from CMS that our CMS contract had been terminated , we are encouraging everyone to use their professional and personal platforms to voice concerns to congressional representatives and to advocate for the significance of our work through the CMS contract “Cytology Testing in Laboratories under the Clinical Laboratories Improvement Amendments (CLIA)” As we spread awareness of the termination of our contract, we must highlight the critical nature of what we do and the contract that made it possible. Since our first contract was awarded in 1988, we have upheld a mission to protect patients from misdiagnosed cancer, providing an invaluable service to healthcare organizations, laboratories, and patients. ASCT Services passionately believes this need persists.
