Caleigh-Shea Murphy, MS, CT(ASCP), CT(IAC)

Shea is a dedicated cytologist with a passion for diagnostic excellence, education, and professional leadership. Shea’s strong foundation in cytology and molecular diagnostics stems from her graduate studies at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), where she earned her Master’s in Cytotechnology and Molecular Cytology. Shea has clinical experience working at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and Albany Medical Center, where she evaluates gynecologic, non-gynecologic, and fine needle aspirates. She also has experience with cytopreparatory techniques, rapid onsite evaluation, and laboratory management.

Beyond the lab, Shea serves as an instructor at ACPHS, committed to preparing the next generation of cytologists. She emphasizes diagnostic proficiency and critical thinking, helping students bridge the gap between classroom learning and clinical application.

Shea is an active member in national professional societies, including the American Society for Cytopathology (ASC) and the American Society for Cytology (ASCT). She regularly contributes to initiatives that advance the field by participating in continuing education efforts, serving on national committees, and executive boards. Her leadership in these organizations reflects a deep commitment to quality, advocacy, and the growth of the cytology profession.
