CMS Contract Announcement

ASCT SERVICES, INC. is proud to announce that it has been awarded a ninth consecutive contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to conduct surveys for the review of “Cytology Testing in Laboratories under the Clinical Laboratories Improvement Amendments (CLIA)”.  This is an initial one year agreement beginning September 29, 2019 with four options years renewable by CMS through 2024.

“We are honored to have this opportunity to continue our working relationship with CMS to review the quality of cytology laboratories by performing on-site surveys,” said Beverly Haigler-Daly, BS CT (ASCP), Executive Director of ASCT Services, Inc.  It is through the CMS surveys that patient care and safety in the field of cytology are directly impacted and improved.

ASCT Services is a unique business qualified to administer and manage cytology laboratory inspections/surveys.  Our personnel include highly-trained cytopathologists and cytotechnologists who have extensive knowledge and experience with CLIA regulations and cytology laboratory management.  We attribute our success to the dedication and commitment of the ASCT Services Board and each member of the ASCT Services Survey Team.
